What Makes This Role Unique
The Human Resource & Event Coordinator aids and facilitates two key responsibilities at the firm, the first is the human resource processes and second is client / team events planning.
On the Human Resource side, this role is responsible for all day to day HR functions and being the first point of contact for all company employees. The HR coordinator is responsible to ensure the training and onboarding of new employees, recruitment, vacation & benefit management, employment law coordinator, employment engagement initiatives, workplace culture and overall contribution to a positive work environment.
As an event coordinator, this role is responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience for our clients. The event coordinator is responsible in the planning, coordinating and support of the successful execution of a broad range of offsite business meetings and conferences.
Examples Of Typical Projects
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the compensation and performance review process.
- Coordinate with management team to identify staffing needs.
- Manage talent acquisition process including job posting, organizing info sessions, managing interviews and communication with candidates.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Improve team morale and organize intra organization team builder events.
- Collaborate with Client Engagement managers to successfully coordinate and execute client events.
- Coordinate planning and execution of a variety of client events. Managing all aspects of event planning to meet the strict deadlines and budget demands.
- Providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations.
- Ensure events meet all client expectations and regulatory requirements such as dietary and sanitary requirements

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is an asset but not required.
- At least two years related experience required.
